The Story Behind The Photo

Do you ever long to pause time in the golden hush of day’s end?

The warmth of spring wrapped around me as I stood at Lady Bird Lake, camera in hand, heart in awe. Austin—the “Live Music Capital of the World,” “Silicon Hills,” the soul of Texas—stood tall before me, aglow with the fading fire of sunset. The city lights winked to life as the last of the day melted into dusk. Reflections danced on the Colorado River’s glassy surface, blurring the lines between earth and sky, between what’s real and what’s felt.

Photographing in this moment meant racing fading light and balancing exposures I stood patiently on the Boardwalk at Lady Bird Lake. But the stillness—interrupted only by soft ripples and distant guitar chords—was sacred.
